On September 1, 2021, the Saaremaa Youth Work Center began operating as a new unified institution, bringing together the Kuressaare Youth Station and the youth centers in Aste, Kärla, Lümanda, Orissaare, Tornimäe, and Valjala, as well as the Kaarma Camp Center. As of January 1, 2023, the Leisi and Salme youth centers were also added under the institution, increasing the total number of youth centers to nine.

The Saaremaa Youth Work Center is an institution managed by the Saaremaa Municipal Government. Its aim is to organize and develop youth work in the municipality, creating conditions that support the individual and social development of young people and those working with them. Additionally, the center seeks to provide opportunities for cooperation, integration of related fields, leisure activities, hobbies, and non-formal learning.

International youthwork

The Saaremaa Youth Work Center is a partner in the international youth information network Eurodesk, providing regional-level information to young people and youth workers about learning and development opportunities in Europe. We introduce diverse programs such as Erasmus+: European Youth and the European Solidarity Corps, as well as several other projects.
